LEARN TO TRAIN Rising Stars (Ages 9-12) This program is designed with the developing young racers in mind. The Rising Stars program is built on a foundation of sport science with the focus on development of the mind and body on and off the snow. The Ski racing centre Skill Development model is used to teach racers through the necessary steps to "Learn to Train".
LEARN TO RACE The Ski racing centre Ski Series (Ages 13 +) For skiers 13 and over, T he Ski racing centre Ski Series will introduce them to the competitive side of the sport and help them further their skiing skills. It serves both older entry-level ski racers and the Rising Stars graduates, and provides an introduction to higher level ski racing. At this level athletes are in a phase of development called "Learn to Race".
There are 2 main differences between ski racing and leisure skiing: The 1st is in the “WHAT TO DO”: go as fast as you can in the slalom = far more emotional pressure. The 2nd is “WHERE”: the line is imposed by the gates = the skier is obliged to adapt his movements and technique to this line. SRC has a unique agreement with the French Ski Federation, who allow SRC competitors to participate in national French races, including the french national championships, in every category, where qualified.
